Updating all the things

It's been a very busy two years since that last Moving to Mastodon post. More on that another time. But busyness isn't the only reason I've not written here. I set this site up on Eleventy back in 2021 and enjoyed the process. I liked that the infrastructure of the site was something to tinker with as much as the writing itself. However, tinkering – and play or creativity – is pretty much the first thing to go out of the window when things get busy. Play, tinkering and experimentation is, for me, right up there in the 'Important + Non Urgent' quadrent of the Eisenhower matrix. A series of conversations recently brought that home to me.

As a first step, I'm going to see if this setup still runs without various update invocations, prayers to the dependency gods and deep study of dusty Stack Overflow scrolls. If you can see this then it's worked!
